शेतीमध्ये परंपरेने चालत आलेल्या अनेक समजुती आहेत तशा आधुनिक हरित क्रांतीने आलेल्या
समजुतीही रूढ होत चाललेल्या आहेत. तिसऱ्या बाजूला सेंद्रिय शेती, रासायनिक शेती, नैसर्गिक शेती, व्यापारी शेती, फुलशेती, ग्रीन हाऊस शेती, यांत्रिक शेती, गोशेती, वृक्ष शेती इ. असे एक ना अनेक प्रश्न शेती प्रचारात आले आहेत, येत आहेत.
प्रत्येकजण – आपलीच पद्धत योग्य आणि खात्रीची – शेती फायद्यात आणणारी, शेतकऱ्याला कर्जमुक्तच नव्हे तर धनवान करणारी असल्याचे दावे करत असतात.
यात खरं काय आणि खोटं काय कळेनासं होत. यातूनच शेतीत नव्या-जुन्या अंधश्रद्धा जोपासल्या जातात.
त्या कोणत्या निकषांवर पारखायच्या? त्या शिवाय रासायनिक खते की सेंद्रिय खते?
पिकाला पाणी कधी? किती? कसे? द्यायला पाहिजे किंबहुना
पिकांना पाणी आणि खतांची गरज आहे का? झाडांसाठी खड्डे खोदणे गरजेचे आहे का ?
या प्रश्नांना भिडणारे असे हे व्याख्यान आहे.

There are many traditional superstitions in Agriculture as well as new superstitions
created by modern Green Revolution. On the third front lots of techniques in organic farming, Chemical farming, natural farming, commercial farming, floral farming, green house farming, mechanical farming, cow farming, wood farming etc. are evolved and are getting evolved along with their problems and propagations. Everyone claims that their method is the best and appropriate and is beneficial to farmers and farming. That will get the farmers out of bad debts and will bring prosperity and richness to the farmers.
It makes the problem go beyond simple understanding, making it difficult to judge whether the claims made are true or false. It leads to maintain the old and create new misconnects. What is the touch stone that can judge the concepts? Is it chemical or organic fertilizers that are beneficial in long run as well? When do plants need watering? How much? What methods?
In fact the concepts of watering the plants and using fertilizers are under suspicion. Is Digging pits for tree plantations needed?
The speaker will clear number of such doubts in his speech
